「An absolutely perfect stay and very accommodating hosts. I stayed here for an avalanche class located at little Truckee Summit OHV park. The drive from the bunk house to class was easy and wonderful. There is a general store nearby with great breakfast and even steaks for dinner. Even with the very cold temps, the bunkhouse is warm, comfortable and has the BEST blankets and sheets. 「The location is ideal - winter or summer. However, the cabin was ice cold when we checked in. The gas fireplace was insufficient to adequately warm the living space; that is, we had the thermostat cranked to 85, but the interior temp never rose above 65. We had to borrow blankets and space heater from our daughter who had a full house on the Peninsula.We also discovered one window open about 1/2”, which obviously created inefficiency.
