Great location and beautiful views over the ocean. You can walk right outside and go swimming in the ocean, rent a kayak/paddleboard, or just walk along the coastline. Breakfast is absolutely delicious and full of fresh, locally sourced fruits, veggies, eggs, and meats. Also fresh squeezed juice! The restaurant is very good. Staff is friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend this hotel!

This was an awesome place to stay. Breakfast was unbelievably delicious. Gorgeous views. Easy ample parking. Picturesque town. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. We would absolutely stay here again!!

Lovely location but service falls a bit short

The location is great and Povacao is such a lovely town. The hotel has some nice features such as the pool and the circular staircase but somehow it has very little good atmosphere. The welcome is not very friendly and a four star hotel should provide pool towels without demanding a deposit or having to sign a contract not to use the ones from the room. The breakfast is ok and the beds are very comfortable.

A lucky find, excellent value for money in April.

No complaints, a lucky find. Cheaper in April admittedly but excellent value for money. Quiet, clean and comfy. Breakfast was a hot or cold buffet. Would stay there again.

Last here in 2016, better now. Upgrades and less spartan. Like using as base location bouncing between NE and E coastal towns. Great walking town with excellent oceanfront park pool beach. Try the club sandwich at the bar...labor intensive for only 7euro! Decent breakfast buffet too. Will of course return.

The breakfast was consistently good we stayed for three nights. The shower leaked, and it appeared that the taps were not fully adhered to the wall, which means that it leaked out through the bottom every time someone showered. Beds were old and very springy so sleeping not overly comfortable, but everything was clean just very basic. Reminded me of higher end hostel room. Very limited restaurants in town and closet place 20 away Furnas. Staff disinterested but ok and mostly pleasant. There was no safe in the room, and my son had left his AirPods in his bag in room. He didn’t use them while he was staying there and just assumed they were in his bag but when we left and we’re on the road, we noticed they were gone we called the hotel and they said they did not find them in the room. We tried again the next day and sent an email and they said they had checked, and nothing was found. However once back in Canada we got alert that someone had charged them and whoever had them was in hotel area. Would have been nice if had safes in room. Overall would not stay there again and could not reccommend due to beds, leaking tub and item missing. We stayed at two other hotels in our one week in the both much better. Would put hotel at 2-3 star.

Such a cool hotel, art work and the observation tower were wonderful! Staff very helpful, and the breakfast was tasty, offering many choices. The town has lots of history, with clean streets, very quiet, except when football match on TV!

I didn’t want to leave. We had a view of the ocean. The beach near the hotel is lovely. Great breakfast buffet. The pool was perfect. I would definitely return.
