「From the moment you arrive at Furnas Lake Forest Living, you feel a sense of calm. The reception was easy to find and we received a very warm welcome and explanation of the property, then were guided to our house. 「Simple, but nice, clean, modern style. Well located for a lower cost visit to Furnas. Has a common kitchenette that with fridge, coffe maker, utensils and such, and a cute little market steps away, along with the delicious water of the tres bicas fountain, provide low cost food options. The restaurant downstairs is also very good. 」

「Breakfast was top notch. Many varieties of local foods, fruits, and great meats, cheeses, freshly made to order omlettes and bacon. Staff is very friendly and accomodating. 」

「Quinta Atlantis is a beautiful space that makes you feel right at home. The craftsmanship of the wood is amazing and the fireplace is awesome. A great place for solo or couple travelers in the hills of Povoacao. You’ll spend time with the dog Laika and the cat Pluto who are very friendly, but will give you space as well. Breakfast is the best you’ll get on the island. Fruit, eggs, fresh Jam, yogurt, vegetables and hummus. I will surely stay there next time I’m on Sao Miguel.」
