“We stayed here for 5 days and from the time we walked in everything was great and the staff was so helpful! Especially the gentleman at the desk Moe! From getting us a rollaway bed, to giving recommendations when it rained and we had to pivot our plans. He was so personably and truly cared about us as guests! House keeping was wonderful and we especially loved the breakfast! Lots of options and even gluten free for my son who has celiac disease! They had GF bagels,muffins and all! Coffee was……

“The staff was great.....very helpful. There was a bar & grill right across the street, with good food. The hotel had snacks and a light breakfast out all the time. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfy.”

“We really loved our two nights day at Phil and Ann‘s. The rooms were clean. The air-conditioning worked great the staff was wonderful. The room was quite small but recently updated so everything was new. The beds were comfortable pillows were nice linens, spelt clean, and fresh. Love the little amenities on the property fire pits, basketball volleyball, badminton little putt putt, mini golf. We would definitely stay there again to enjoy a few days in Rhode Island.”

“Very cute and clean. Exactly what I was looking for. Super convenient to be able to walk right to the beach.”

“The room itself was very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. However, the room lacked a full length mirror. This was a major inconvenience because we were attending a formal event. The outside property could use alot of curb appeal and attention. Truthfully, it was an eyesore and made us very nervous as we were driving in. Suggestions would be some planters, flowers, benches, ice machines. I believe this would draw more visitors. Overall, I would stay there again and recommend this place……

“We have been going to Shelter Harbor Inn for decades. After its most recent renovations, the Inn is absolutely beautiful. The design of the inn is lovely. The grounds are stunning. And very importantly, the staff is excellent. There was some confusion re our check in and both the young woman who checked us in (Laci V) and the young woman who checked us out (Laci M) handled the situation perfectly. Sadly, we were only there for one night most recently but we will return.”

“The room was clean and seems pretty new. First night we couldn’t sleep because of a next room having three kids. Next day we complained and the staff were helpful and changed the room. We asked them someone to move our stuff but we came back late and we found no one moved anything. We had to Pack and to carry our luggage to a lower floor! There is no lifts in the property!!! My 13 year old had to carry the heavy luggage. Next day, r found the AC was dripping water and made the carpet wet. In……

“The owner & front staff were helpful & welcoming. Room was very clean. The kayaks, swing,& outdoor shower were great! If you are looking for 5 star HOTEL, this is not it, but if you want casual, safe, basic & welcoming, this IS it! You are in walking distance to restaurants, beach and very walkable. Very nice!”

“The room was disgusting… in a hallway like a cruise ship.. out of our window all we saw was a wall. the rug had stains all over it, the light on the night stand was full of rust, fridge with stains all over the front. My friends room upstairs was much nicer with an ocean view. But for $600 a night, I expected way better conditions. I’m very unhappy.”
