“This was a great place for our short stay. The most important thing to us was the dog friendly atmosphere for a reasonable price, which we found here at swell life. The home was clean. You can see the sound/bay and the ocean from the deck. If you sit in the right spot you can watch the waves roll in and in the other spot watch the sun set and its gorgeous colors over the sound/bay. You can hear the ocean at all times. We always like a oceanfront view and although this wasn't an oceanfront view.……

“The property was exactly as described in the listing. Centrally located in Kill Devil Hills. This was the first time vacationing with our two dogs and it was perfect for them. The Hostess was wonderful we enjoyed our stay.”

“Our stay way excellent. While the property is not on the water, access to the beach is a very close. The property was clean and their bed was really comfortable. The water was a little too cold to enjoy swimming without a wetsuit. Also, due to a western wind bringing some bitting flies it prevented hanging out at the beach. I was told by the locals this wind brings them out. Spray doesn’t seem to faze them and they swarm. Other than that- the water is beautiful and traveling up the coast is a……

“My siblings and I spent a weekend at this cottage for our annual trip. It was extremely clean and we had no issues upon check-in; the entire process was seamless and easy. This was my first Vrbo rental, and I was well pleased and would recommend this cute nostalgic cottage for other visitors to Nags Head. It would work especially well for small families since there is only one bathroom. Also, FYI, the washer and dryer are in a detached garage on the property, but that posed no issues for our……

“The stay was great even though the weather wasn’t the best. The house was nice and the location was great. There are a few maintenance issues that should be addressed such as a loose board on the deck and the shower curtain rod needs to be permanently attached so it doesn’t fall on someone else’s head. We would stay here again on our next trip to the Outher Banks if it was available.”

“Even though it rained several of the days, we still enjoyed the ocean from our balcony on the second floor and did some Kitty Hawk exploring. And there were so many close excellent recusants to chose from for dinning. The place was clean and well supplied with kitchen utensils etc... But didn't realize there was an elevator until the 2nd day but was so grateful for it being on the 2nd floor. Only improvement would be that someone would have been in the office, which was closed due to short……

“My 2nd year and 4th visit to Hip Nautical. Even with some rain, wind, as well as beautiful sunny days, the ocean view from the deck, screened-in porch and sitting area inside was always amazing. Well stocked house and also free Netflix makes for great movie watching on rainy days. Quick response always from owner with any questions. Counting days already to my September trip. “A nice house in a quiet neighborhood. Any questions or concerns were quickly answered. Pool and hot tub were refreshing. Its location puts you close to all attractions but away from all traffic and noise. I would recommend this house to anyone.”

“Everything we needed was already there, dishes, cookware, toaster, coffee, blender, etc. Beach items, books, dvds, beautiful condo, we saw dolphins and watched the sunrise from the deck. Great location.”

“This hotel is a great value. The room was spotless. Check in was a little interesting, a note in the lobby said to call a phone number for check in. The first attempt to call went to voicemail. But about 5 minutes later I was able to get a hold of someone and check in. I’ve stayed here for years, I hope this place can stay as good as it was in the past, even if I had to pay 20% more I would to keep this place as an option. ”
