“This is a renovated motel. It is a fine stay, just sad that i paid so much for it. The pool is next to the property behind a restaurant and their dumpster, which is probably why the pool was covered with roaches. Weird stains on the ceiling making me think there was mold, as well as weird stains in the bathroom (shower and sink). Meaning it was not properly cleaned. I was told i was getting a beach view room and i did not. Not worth my $120”

“I stayed at the property with my kids. Unfortunately the beach was not accessible due to shoreline restoration work and that was a bummer. I loved the fact that there was a linen exchange program so one could get clean towels and linens any time. Staff was super helpful. Property rooms were clean and fairly well maintained although the property itself looked quite worn out. Kids loved the pool. I would have preferred having turndown service given that I stayed for around a week. Check in……

“This is a reasonably priced hotel that is clean, perfectly located for what we wanted to do(hit ORV ramps 43/44 & 48/49), w/an easy check in/out procedure & just the right comfortable accommodations for 3-4 people. We used to vacation on the weekly basis w/other families in big houses in OBX, but w/older kids, scheduling has become a nightmare, so we've shifted to multiple weekend trips to OBX instead. “We knew what to expect from this older motel. The location was great. The people were helpful. We had plenty of room. The pool was nice and cool on a hot day. Perhaps I am too particular about my bed, but I could not get comfortable. It hurt my back. We did not have a pet, but this is one of the few places that allow pets.”
