I stayed at this hotel with my husband, Ashish, during our New Year trip to New York, and unfortunately, our experience was quite disappointing.
The overall service was not up to the mark. The staff, especially during breakfast hours, appeared very rude and constantly in a hurry, which made guests feel uncomfortable rather than welcomed. There was no warmth or basic hospitality, which was particularly disappointing during a festive time like New Year. The breakfast timing was from 7–10 am, but the experience felt extremely rushed. On our last day, when we arrived at 9:45 am due to packing, a staff member harshly asked us to put the milk jar back into the fridge, which was quite unsettling.
There was no complimentary water provided in the room; we had to go to the reception each time to get water. The toiletries provided were also of very poor quality. The ambience of the hotel lacked cleanliness, comfort, and a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, only one elevator was functional throughout our stay, leading to long waiting times.
Given the brand name, we expected much better service and professionalism. Sadly, this stay did not meet our expectations at all.
The only positive aspect was the cost—approximately 800 CAD for 4 nights. However, considering the hotel is far from the city, it wasn’t a great deal. On the plus side, buses were easily accessible, and there was a Mexican restaurant right next door that stayed open until 1 am, which was convenient.
