“I paid higher price for a room with a private bathroom, unfortunately the private bathroom is not in my room, my wife and I had to walk across the public landing, passing another room door, to get to the “private bathroom”. “The inn is steeped in history and in a remote, quiet spot. Unfortunately our room had been left with unsightly water marks as a result of a leaking roof (which has been fixed) all over the ceiling, especially above the bed, and wall. It made the room look very shabby and for the price not great value. The floating floor feels like it’s a sinking floor in some spots and you need to tread lightly. The bathroom is modern and spacious. The staff were lovely, very welcoming and friendly.”
