    Welcome to Gulf Place Getaway! This updated, 1BR+Bunk Room/1.5BA condo is located in the Cabanas building at Gulf Place, where you will find something for everyone! The Gulf Place community is home to the world's most beautiful white sand beaches on the emerald coast. No hassles, just relax. This condo features a Top Floor balcony with stunning views of the Gulf of Mexico! With a king in the master bedroom, an enclosed twin bunk room in the hallway, and a cozy sleeper in the living area, this lovely condo sleeps up to 6 guests. Take a short stroll right across the street to the beach, relax on your top floor balcony, or check out some of the amenities and attractions at Gulf Place. Come have the vacation of a lifetime at Gulf Place Getaway!

    Situated in the heart of Gulf Place: a convenient coastal community in Santa Rosa that features 3 pools (two seasonally heated), hot tubs, tennis courts, shuffle boards, BBQ grilling areas, large outdoor amphitheater, walking distance to many cafes, restaurants, boutiques, and BEACH access directly across the street! A few steps away you will find an abundance of  shops and dining options at Gulf Place. In addition to great food and drinks, Gulf Place Town Center offers lots of live music and table-side fire pits on cooler nights. The Gulf Place Cabanas building is in the middle of it all!     The Gulf Place community is located along a 26-mile stretch of sugar-white sand and turquoise waters of Northwest Florida’s celebrated Emerald Coast. As one of the 16 distinct beach neighborhoods in South Walton, it has its own distinct character and charm. This colorful community on 30A is comprised of 25 acres located in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach on the corner of 30A and 393. Gulf Place was specifically designed to slow visitors and locals down with palm tree-lined streets, wide sidewalks, colorful outdoor patios with large umbrellas, nature walking trails, green spaces and ample park benches to sit and enjoy the views.  Gulf Place is unique from all the other South Walton neighborhoods.  Residents and guests gather here to enjoy original art, boutique shopping, local cuisine, live music and a laid back atmosphere. 

    The snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Seahorse Reef, deployed in 2017. Located just 715 feet out from the Topsail Hill Preserve State Park access, it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Seahorse Reef is at a depth of 13-18 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Yes and yes. The beach view was partially obstructed. Unfortunately, it rained and was cold while we were there and we brought beach, summery clothes. I would rent from you again but would look for a more updated place with a larger bathroom counter.

Three of us stayed at this cute little condo. The view was absolutely amazing, and it was nice to be close to a couple shops. We enjoyed the pool and the beach everyday. The beach access was super convenient. The only problem we had was an interior door that wouldn’t close properly, but we communicated the issue to the property manager and they were very quick to respond. While we didn’t have it fixed while we there, they did offer to come and check it out. All in all, it was a pleasant experience.

Close to everything! The view fantastic!! I can't imagine a better location to stay on 30A for the price, two bathrooms, incredible view, great beach access and all you need in the Gulf place area is walkable. Two adults staying here. Locking the door when you leave is terrible! Be careful and push door to be sure it's locked. It took a lot to lock it when you come and go.

Great place to stay!

We loved our stay. The location is perfect, right across the street from three beach access walkways. Can see the water and the sunset from the balcony! Pool was heated, and we enjoyed the hot tub. Beds were comfy and the kitchen had the basic essentials. Pecan Jack’s for ice cream was right down the block, and lots of food options were nearby. We loved it!

Gulf Place cabanas #410 is an excellent location. Great water view from the deck and easy walk to the beach and shopping areas. A great choice for a couple or family with 2 kids. We would use this one again with no reservations.

Great location and overall a great stay!This is a fantastic property—very clean with plenty to do nearby. It’s located right across from the beach and within walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and shopping. There’s also plenty of parking if you’re driving, which is a big plus.The balcony with an ocean view was a highlight—we spent a lot of time out there when we were in the unit. That said, we were mostly at the beach and the pool. The pool area is well maintained, not overly crowded, and we never had an issue finding chairs.The private beach access is a huge advantage, especially during peak season. The public beach areas get busy, but having two access points and plenty of space made a big difference. Beach chair rentals were also readily available.A couple things to note: storage space is limited. There’s not much room to hang clothes, and overall storage is tight—something to keep in mind if you’re traveling with a lot of outfits. The hallway bunk room and bathroom are also on the smaller side, but they work well for younger kids.Overall, I would definitely stay here again—especially as a couple or with younger children. For families with teenagers, the space may feel a bit tight.

Perfect Location And View

This is our second time staying at this property. We love being in Gulf Place. Shopping, eating, and beach within a very short walk. The balcony has a great view of the water. It is so nice having 1.5 baths. The Management Company is great to work with. Love that you can rent beach chairs and umbrellas on the beach. We will definitely be returning.

Santa Rosa Beach retreat

Lovely unit, lovely area. Beautiful view. Just a bit disappointed the unit doesn't include basic cable, no live football during bowl season and missed the World Cup finals on a cold December weekend at the beach.

Great Location and Convenience

We loved the property location and the size of the balcony and view were great. We were also glad its was on the top floor because we could hear some of the neighbors below us, we couldn’t imagine how bad the noise would be if we were not on the top floor. The furniture could be a little better quality and be refreshed, it was definitely low end “rental” furniture. Overall a great value to be on 30a.

Family vacation at Gulf Place

We had a wonderful time at the Cabanas at Gulf Place. The location cannot be beat! My husband, me, and our two kids fit comfortably in this unit. We were tight on space to put our luggage but got creative with using the closet and top bunk for storage. The unit could use fresh paint and linens as a simple freshen up. The view made this unit perfect! Biggest downfall (as shared with the property mgrs) was construction outside our door. We were notified the day we arrived and made nap time for the kids tricky.

Great location

This unit is in a great location if walking to things is what you like. We loved we could walk to Shunk Gulley or other restaurants and not have to get in traffic. Overall the unit was nice, the door was almost impossible to open at check in and we called for a long while with no response from maintenance. The unit is stocked with everything you could need. It was nice but could use a good thorough cleaning of the couch and rugs. The front bedroom is very bright at night due to the hallway light and was hard for us to sleep at night. We would suggest darkening curtains.

Two concerns

The management company was extremely responsive to any of my questions or needs! I absolutely loved the location and the apartment was overall clean. My two complaints are as follows: The sliding glass door is dangerous! It is almost impossible to open the door to get out onto the beautiful balcony. We booked this condo because of the balcony. It has beautiful views but what’s the point if you can’t open the door. The handle is broken which makes it even dangerous. My second complaint is the TV in the living room. I did everything as follows with the two different remote controls but I could not figure it out. Management company came up while I was not there and rebooted it but I still could not get it to work. There was lots of good football on which we were unable to watch because of this issue. I would definitely return but I’d be extremely disappointed if these issues weren’t addressed.

This condo got the job done, but it wasn’t exactly what we expected. We would stay here again, but not for the same price. We paid a lot for very little. The listing states that it can sleep 6 people. However, there were only 2 bath cloths left for us. We had to go buy more to get us through. Additionally, the listing makes it seem as if there is a washer and dryer in the unit, but it’s actually a shared washer and dryer down the hallway—this should be clarified in the listing. The master closet was full of stuff, including an additional lamp, and without removing everything from the closet, the closet was unusable. The lamp on the left side of the bed could not be turned on because it just flickered. The kitchen towels were not thoroughly cleaned upon arrival—there were bits of food on them. The tub had sand in it upon arrival, and didn’t drain properly and water would be up to our ankles before shower was over. Also, there was nowhere to wash our feet off at the beach access points (there was a hose, but no water flow), which is more of a Gulf Place issue than with the unit. This is probably why the tub was full of sand. Although chairs and an umbrella were not expected to come with this unit, I will mention that the ones in the deck box for use are very rusted and one was broken. We didn’t feel comfortable using them, so we rented our own. Again, this was not expected to be provided at all, so we weren’t upset with this—just want others to know to bring your own.

Great location. Needs a deep cleaning and maintenance.

I spent 3 days during spring break with my three daughters (11, 9, 4) at this unit. We arrived at check-in time and walked into a musky-smelling unit that was clearly not cleaned with any attention to detail. There was a clump of lint on the master bed, the main bathroom's shower fixtures were covered in scale, the shower curtain was stained pink with mildew, the bathroom rug had dirt on it (has it ever been washed?), there was gunk on the ladder of the bunk beds, visible dirt on the kitchen table, and red/stickiness on two of the six dining chairs. My oldest and I spent 30 minutes just wiping down surfaces so we could be comfortable. The unit also had several maintenance issues that we called attention to, including broken handles on the microwave and sliding glass door. The shower head was also not functioning properly, so you had to stand up against the wall to get any water. I'm not one to complain, and I'm a pro at camping/roughing it. But walking into someone else's dirt was disgusting. I texted the property managers, who responded right away, offering to have the cleaning crew arrive the next day ( I declined... my daughter and I cleaned instead) They also sent a maintenance person over to look over the broken handles. Everyone from RealJoy was kind and empathetic. I understand they manage several properties and that the week we arrived was a busy one for Spring Breakers. But I highly suggest taking this off VRBO, giving it attention, and then relisting.

This was a nice quiet property with really easy beach access. Walkable to several places to eat. We enjoyed our stay very much.
