“Pros: close to train station and restaurants, great breakfast (semi-buffet), value for money Cons: room is a but dusty, and some rooms are located in between 2 floors so you need to climb a few steps with your luggage, rmb to send a note to the hotel if you carry heavy luggage to avoid such rooms.”

“Ich habe die Nacht in diesem Hotel sehr gut geschlafen. Das Bett war super bequem - nicht zu hart, nicht zu weich - und die Bettdecke ebenso klasse. Das Hotel wird nach und nach die Zimmer renovieren... meines kommt wohl auch bald dran. Gut - es war noch veraltet, aber auf jeden Fall wirklich sauber. Hier hätte ich es auch noch ein paar Nächte aushalten können.”

“The hotel is easy to find, and ideally located for visiting Beamish Museum. It is very attractive, and the bar and restaurant areas have great views westwards over the valley. Each ground floor room has its own car parking slot - wonderful! The staff are friendly and helpful, and a small bonus for me, the malt whisky is cheaper than the pub down the road .... I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area, there was nothing I did not like.”

“Always great service. All the staff are top notch. Food is amazing. Friendliest place in the area by a mile.”

“My parents stay 4 days in this hotel and they love their stay. They told me that the hotel was convenient, quiet and clean. They wanted to give their thanks to the personal who were really attentive and helpful with everything. Only complaint that they had was the fact that there is no lift on the property but Other than that everything was great ”
