"Location is great, just behind the St James shopping centre and a stones throw away from Calton Hill and also the old town (10 mins walk). The room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was good with a selection of hot food to order and a continental buffet. I would stay again."

"Wonderful hotel! Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff, extremely clean rooms and very comfortable indeed. The décor is bold but actually works really well as in contrast with the old building. The rooms are much more serene in tone. We didn't eat in the restaurant, but we had some drinks in the bar which were delicious (although a little pricey!). Breakfast was excellent, huge choice and very fresh - make your own pancakes, and eggs to order were a highlight! We will definitely return! "

"Lovely picturesque street of Edinburgh. Lovely view looking out at the wider city and sea. A classic room and overall vibe with a modern reception bar interior. Quiet and calm throughout! Well kept rooms, the only thing that was bad is that it had no fridge. The staff were incredible. Kitty on reception was absolutely lovely and was so talkative and attentive to any issues or queries we had. She definitely needs a raise!! Overall a great time and I’d definitely book here again for Edinburgh S&C"
