「We loved our two nights stay at Melfort House. It was peaceful idyll that restored us somewhat as we were nearing the end of our road trip through Scotland. 「We had a fantastic minimoon at Crinan!! Food is 11/10. Staff 11/10! Location is absolutely stunning. Can’t recommend this place highly enough. We had a room with a balcony and the views are out of this world. The boat trip on Ross Ryan’s boat The Sgarbh was incredible. We saw seals and Sea Eagles and sailed around the islands. This hotel is a true Scottish gem!」

「The room was the best we had on our trip. It had shampoo, conditioner, soap in both the sink area and the shower. There was cold water and milk in the refrigerator and coffee/ tea. There was also a heated towel rack and great big towels. They also provided a shower cap. It was large enough that you could both move around the room. Highly recommend」

「Both elevators were out at one point, the staff couldn’t check me in even minutes earlier than the 3pm guideline,and the whole ‘meal thing’ felt weird about inclusions or exclusions. Pay to park (but only 10 pounds) for two nights - but still…great location for rail or ferry, but the staff couldn’t check use an upgrade. PS. Why are the damn hallways so narrow to your room? I could barely get by a maids cart…seems like the fire regulations would be wider. Narrowest I have ever seen in any hotel....
