"The channel selection on the TV was very minimal. After a busy day of running around Durango there was not much to watch and relax. The stay was nice and I would stay here at Doubletree again. The staff was very friendly. "

"The room was satisfactory. It was clean and well-stocked. Unfortunately, some of the chairs, the foam padding is sticking through the upholstery. There was a water machine and an ice machine right in front of the room, which made it convenient. The room was also just off the outside patio, so you had access to the building from both the front and the rear. It was above the nice Italian restaurant that shares the same building. The unfortunate part is that you are in a building down the street from the original hotel. It’s called the palace wing. It would be more accurate to call it the brothel wing and decorate it as a boudoir. There is nothing palace about it and you lose the complete ambience and feeling that you are expecting from being in the original General Palmer Hotel. it feels like a bait and switch. You are told that you will be climbing up two flights of stairs, which we were aware of and we’re OK with, but we weren’t told it was in a separate building down the street from the original grand hotel. This was quite a disappointment. The outside patio is nice but worn and could use an updating of patio furniture the walls in the room are slightly thin and you can’t hear people speaking through the walls which is an awful you expect this in an older hotel. The staff are exceptional very knowledgeable great tour directors. The lobby is absolutely beautiful. There is plenty of lovely seating areas, but these are located in the original hotel building not in the wing "

"Our room had pet accommodations so that was a huge plus, the room was pretty small and a little outdated but it was very clean and the beds were very comfortable including the pillows. The linens smelled cleaned (huge brownie points). We’ve stayed here before and we will definitely stay here again in the future. 😊"

"This place was perfect for our needs. It is an adorable studio and well appointed. The location is as good as it gets and having our own entrance was really nice. Most of the apartments in the Jarvis are through a vestibule into a big building with an elevator, but this studio’s front door is right on the street, making it so easy. The parking spot was just across the street and super easy to access. There is noise on the weekend evenings from the bar across the street but they have a fan in the closet you can use. I also was confused on check in day (my mistake, not the owners) and they were highly responsive. Great stay! I 100% would stay here again. "
