“Our family had such a lovely stay. The house was small, very cozy, absolutely spotless, and beautifully decorated. There were so many thoughtful touches - butter, eggs, and cream in the fridge, board games in the closet, DVDs in the bureau, laundry supplies, scented bath products, hairdryer, makeup remover pads, and even a bag of epsom salts in the bathroom. I felt so cared for, like I was a guest in the home of a friend. Our host made herself accessible if we had any needs, but we didn't have……

“This is a lovely home with the charm of years gone by and located in historic Jackson Ward. It is in easy walking distance from numerous restaurants, shops, and the contemporary art museum. The hostess was in regular communication with us to ensure we had a great stay.”

“We appreciated that the landlord allowed us to check in early. Like many ABNB properties, the inside is not quite as nice as the pictures. It’s barely four stars in my opinion. The outside is rough and so is the neighborhood, however that was relatively clear from the photos before we arrived. The appliances were new. Overall not a bad property but it needs work, particularly on the outside.”

“We stayed for 3 nights - group of three 50+ year old HS friends in town for a wedding/golf weekend. House/street was very quiet and convenient to food/stores, etc. House was clean, linens/towels provided (bring your own shampoo/soap), etc. Appliances worked, showers were good/clean, etc. Only gripe was there was a bit of an ant infestation -- we didn't leave food open on the counter, but we did have some wrapped cookies that were covered with about 1,000 ants one morning. “My husband and I stayed in Richmond for a long weekend and lucked onto this beautiful condo in downtown. We are fans of old buildings and this one was old but still in great shape, very nicely kept up and included all the amenities we needed. The condo had 3 huge street- facing windows that admitted Plenty of light and made for some fun watching of the street scene below. Check in was seamless and the hosts were super responsive. We had to keep moving our car around in order to obtain reasonable……

“Our first time staying at this property. So glad we found it - it will be our first choice for future trips to Chesdin. The house is spacious and wonderfully appointed. Kitchen has everything you'll need. Plenty of parking (we had 2 boats/trucks). The neighborhood is quiet and safe. House sits right on the water w/ a fabulous view of the sunset. This place is great for a family get-away or homebase for a fishing trip. Minutes to the Whippernock ramp.”

“This was a wonderful home and a fantastic experience. The host was perfectly communicative, the check in process was simple and seamless. The house was clean and comfortable, stocked with everything we needed- including a functioning grill and a stockpile of wood for fires out back, which we had one every single night. We had four adults and three children, and there was plenty of space between the rooms. The beds were comfortable and having a large TV in the living room preset with streaming……

“What an absolute fantastic weekend in Va. My son is a Marine stationed at Fort Greg-Adams. He was given his 96hr leave for the Holiday weekend. We found this gem of a home in rural Va. The home is spacious and very clean. There are amazing amenities. Washer/dryer, front deck, bar-b-que handicap accessible door. Just a great home for a weekend. If you are a history buff it is double the bonus. There are plenty of Civil war trails to explore. Everything about the house and stay is an A++++++++++.……

“This was a lovely house, very close and convenient to shopping, downtown, and UR. We had 5 adults for a long weekend and the amenities were clean, updated and very comfortable. I would stay here again. AND James was the perfect host. Perfect communication! Prompt, responsive, friendly, and thorough!!!”

The house was well-appointed, spacious, and situated in a lovely neighborhood. “Charming Fan District Getaway” is an apropos description for an elegant home that won’t disappoint! Not to mention, the host, Josh, provided great information to make our relatively short time in the Fan District all the more enjoyable.”

“Very cool old house, in the middle of everything. Rob and Larkin were very responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was top notch. The house was clearly recently renovated and modernized. The beds are super comfy, and the kitchen was well equipped. There was plenty of room for our two-family party of nine. We had a great time!”

We had big soccer tournament in the local area which was 15 moinutes drive from the house so it was perfect location for us to relax in between the games. Our host, James and staff were so helpful providing necessary rental information as well as places to see and things to do in Richmond. Would definitely stay there again.”
