St. Albans is literally half Norman & half Gothic architecture and is a mesmerising learning experience in the differences between them all in one view. The grounds themselves are also spectacular and a brief 15 minute walk from the St. Albans station. #green
I was here in 2007. If you like history and architecture, St Alban's is a great day out fro London, or a stop on a road trip. An old Roman town with ruins and cathedrals, the old roman theatre is located on the Gorhambury Estate - website below for more information. http://www.gorhamburyestate.co.uk/
A small, sweet church between the roman ruins and the cathedral. The walk is mostly through park lands.
