「We had a great time at the sawmill cottage! Jen was a wonderful host and even gave us a tour of her farm, highly recommend! The cottage was clean and bed was comfortable. Absolutely no cell service or television, and that gave us some time to spend unplugged and play board games and watch dvds together!! Campfire area is awesome as well. 「The cottage is cute and very clean. There is a stream that runs through the property. It was peaceful to watch and listen to it from the porches. We spent time at the house and took day trips to Shenandoah National park and Grand Caverns. I would definitely book this same place again.」

「Well kept home, everything you need in the kitchen, close to the Caverns. The host were wonderful, replied to any messages I sent very fast, only thing I would change about this house would be a blind or curtain in kitchen window and covering over the front glass door but that wouldn't stop me from renting this home again if I was to return to the area. Thanks for making my stay a wonderful one!」

「My sister-in-law and I had a quick weekend getaway to wine country and this cottage was perfect! We each got our own room and room to spead out comfortably. And a beautiful surprise was a bouquet of fresh flowers waiting for us! Amazing! It was well equipped for cooking (and a very sensitive fire alarm) and the views were gorgeous. We enjoyed cups of coffee every morning overlooking the front. Just perfect!」

「Super quaint little cottage, exactly what we needed. The hosts are incredibly sweet and accommodating. The view is of open farmland with mountians in the distance. The sun sets off the back of the cottage and theres a wonderful view. Really wonderful spot!」

「The property was gorgeous and very relaxing. The cottage was clean and well kept with a comfy bed and cute coffee bar. The couch is a bit uncomfortable, but we didn’t spend much time lounging anyways. Great location and close to Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park for hiking. We had our dog with us, who loves to play frisbee. There was great open space by the pond for him to roam and be happy off leash. This place was so amazing with absolutely beautiful view of the river, my city wife was so awestruck by this place she immediately started searching for a place for sale in the general area. I got a very strong feeling we’ll be doing another stay at this awesome place later this year.」

「My family and I stayed at The Gingerbread House for my brothers graduation from JMU. House is exactly as pictured and described. It’s a perfect and cozy home for family. There were two living areas we could spread out and a perfect little dining room for family meals. The hosts had these cute little bottles of shampoo, conditioner and body wash set up and plenty of linens. Really lovely stay.」
