“Once we figured out the panel on the front door was the keypad that needed a firm touch when pressing the code, everything else was smooth sailing. Perfectly stocked with everything one would need for a getaway—all you need to bring is food and drinks. The large old Bible was a precious find, and I enjoyed leafing through that. Hey, Google provided tunes of our choosing, and the internet was a lifesaver as cell service is basically nonexistent (at least with my carrier T-Mobile). Nice cabin to……

“We came to Virginia from Michigan for our friend to visit with family she hadn’t seen in 12 years they live on Vetrans hwy. this was about as close as we could get a rental. It was wonderful. Had every amenity. Very clean. Well decorated and not broken down like some rentals. Hot tub was lovely. We fished and cooked breakfast but didn’t have enough time to do everything the lodge had to offer. You could easily stay for one or two weeks and stay busy! Our only suggestion would be to provide oil……

“If we hadn't arrived by car, we would have thought it was 1775. Well, there is electricity and running water and a washer and dryer. OK. Maybe 1775 is a stretch, but you get the idea. The Edmonson Lodge is a gem. We stayed 2 nights for a father/daughter trip to the Virginia Creeper Trail, which is only 20 minutes away. There are plenty of beds and enough room. It's clean and has modern conveniences, except WiFi. We liked that we spent more time chatting and playing cards than watching……

“There was some confusion over reservation but host took care if it. Problem with water but host was getting it taken care of. Location was nice. Very steep dirt grassy driveway. Rain and snow could make it difficult if not impossible to to get up. No check in or check out instructions. No large garbage can outside. With all yhis said the host did all he could do to make sure we had what we needed.”

“Our family stayed in this historic property for a celebration of life of family members who passed away recently. The beautiful and spacious front porch with rocking chairs and a swing was an amazing place to share laughter and memories while the kids played in the expansive front lawn. There was plenty of room for everyone, and the neighborhood and surrounding area was quiet and peaceful. The fire pit was enjoyed by all for s'mores and storytelling. “Loved the peace and quiet. Convenient to downtown, but no safe way to walk there (limited sidewalks and very narrow roads with speeding cars). Not much to see on Main St but unfortunately that's the norm these days. A serious drive to anywhere, even parks/trails. The unit itself is 1 decent sized room, but arrangement is a bit awkward. Difficult to watch tv from couch or bed. Was hoping for more of a kitchenette, only had a mini fridge and microwave, same as a hotel. A toaster would be great,……
