“The Ettington Park hotel is an extraordinary English Family Castle with a great & long history. Our stay in this hotel was extremely comfortable and relaxed. Despite belated arrival at night, we were all welcomed by their staff with thoughfully arranged dinner & wine & porter services of many bulk luggage. “Shower didn’t work far too hot forced to have a bath. Room was covered in dirt, dents and scuff marks everywhere. Plug sockets for lamps were not legal UK ones they were Indian ones, made us feel unsafe.”

“Room very small and stuffy, bathroom, well it was the worst shower ever, had a metal bar screwed to the wall so everytime I tried to wash myself I bashed my arm. Everything I asked for at the bar they hadn’t got or had ran out, what I did get in the end was very overpriced. Breakfast the following morning, no bacon left so had to wait 20 minutes for some more to be done which was undercooked when it came out, there was no drinking water either. “It's a great place to stay in the charming town of Chipping Campden. Centrally located on the high street; with parking in the back (not accessible from the high street). The staff were great and the breakfast was wonderful. We stayed in Room 5, which is quite spacious (though on the top level; all stairs). They have some newer "cottages" that look to be accessible for folks who don't want stairs. Some minor negatives: 1) the tea room closes at 5:30 cutting off direct access to the high street;……
