「Superb pub and rooms steeped in local history - Robert Plant started his career here playing blues guitar aged 15 in the upstairs blues club (sadly not there anymore but the history is palpable). The pub is a treasure trove of history, and so well preserved, from the original staircases and ceramic tiling on the walls, to the original bar. My room was just sheer excellence. Comfy bed, every amenity laid on, crispy linen and a boiling hot shower. Sadly the pub no longer serves food other than...

La chambre est tres bien, seul bemol: la salle de bain qui aurait besoin d'un petit rafraîchissement, la cabine de douche est assez petite et la lumière qui se déclenche avec un détecteur de mouvement n'est pas pratique du tout. Mais globalement positive expérience.」

「This hotel is a hidden gem! The host, Maria, is truly wonderful. Her attention to detail is fab, and she couldn't be anymore helpful and welcoming. Maria stayed late for my colleagues check in and then came in early to accommodate us for an early breakfast. The dinner was divine - strongly recommend the tikka curry. Home cooked, beautiful meal. The bed was extremely comfortable, and I will ensure I book here when I visit Birmingham again!!!」

「My second stay here. A really good place to stay with a great Italian restaurant attached. Clean, comfortable and quiet. Free parking too. A nice pub down the road selling a great pint of ale. Dartmouth Park is close by and lovely to walk around. Bus and tram stop about 20 mins walk away to easy access in to Birmingham or Wolverhampton and they run late so you can have a nice night out and get back to hotel without a worry. 」

「In 50+ years of travelling for business and pleasure this was worst property I have ever seen….i walked away and paid to stay in an another hotel …dirty,cold draughty falling down horrendous inside and appeared to being used almost as a doss house….absolute disgrace that it’s advertised…they lock it up at 11 only one door on a passcode is available …code didn’t work…anyone considering staying here don’t…there were holes in bathroom walls….hot water took an eternity and shower is an accident...
