"Staff is top notch, especially Shannon, however elevator broken for 6 out of 10 days we stayed here. Pool heater broken entire stay. Pool had lots of leaves everyday, there was an older gentleman who cleaned the pool and it wasn’t really his job. So we appreciate him. Rooms could use some updating, sofa was old and stained on the upholstery. Rooms are sparsely furnished. Conveniently located to anything you may need. "

"Room 504. Television unwatchable due to reduced brightness and no adjustment available on remote. Toilet very low, with no hand support for tall person leverage. Cheap plastic toilet paper holder falls apart in pieces on the floor when roll in rotated. No useful electrical outlet at desk Lamp cord strung six feet across corner of room, two feet above the floor. Poor shower head, with no hand-held. No cancellation policy screwed us out of $100 -- paid $400+ for a room going for under $280 now on Expedia, etc. We are ditching our Marriott cards."

"The room was clean, no housekeeping unless requested, three towels upon arrival for 2 individuals, one clean towel after 3 days, no hooks in suite to hang towels and hot water was cold first night, improved by end of week!"

"Very nice hosts. Bed very comfortable. Room spacious. Not the Ritz, but it is great if you're looking to reminisce about a place you went with your grandparents in the late 1970s. "

"Cleanliness was the biggest detractor. All of the linens were stained, causing us to have to go out and purchase fresh ones. The floor may have visibly not been dirty but after wearing socks around the room you can see the dirt on the bottom of them that the light color laminate does not reflect. Saw a dead roach also. After that, we just kept questioning how clean everything else was or if the rooms were regularly taken care of. $35 gets you housekeeping, so does that mean that the bare minimum between guests is done unless you pay? Doesn’t seem acceptable. It wasn’t difficult to check and get accommodated, but I think more clarity about the system in which you check and communicate with staff would’ve been nice. It’s a bit jarring being told to travel to different locations and do things on your own when traveling somewhere you’re not familiar with. The location of the hotel itself was absolutely perfect though, it’s generally central to everything you’d want to do in Clearwater. If it weren’t for that we would’ve left."
