“Outstanding little place to stay!! Ms. Denise is an incredibly warm and friendly manager!! Very sweet lady!! No dishes or cookware, which was my only disappointment. You download an app to pay for laundry. (Currently $3) Still, it was better equipped than most m/hotels I've stayed in. I appreciated the full size stove, full size fridge/freezer, the central air and the furniture. And, oooooooh THE WATER PRESSURE!! Shower is a bit cramped, but that water felt SOOOOOO good!! “This beautiful property was perfect for what we needed. Our son had a soccer tournament in Hickory with spaced out game times, rescheduled games due to weather, etc. The Blue Door Guesthouse was our comfortable oasis to relax and enjoy family time. The pool was great, even in May! The hosts are top knotch. Highly recommend!”

“The pictures do not showcase how lovely this home is. Kitchen was beautiful. Farmhouse sink that i would live to have in my home. Countertops were exceptionally beautiful. Color selection throught the home was warm, neutral and inviting. King bed was very comfortable. No problems falling asleep. Sitting area was quaint and private. The upper deck was a joy. “Really neat place if you want to get away from city life and enjoy peace and quiet. Owners are very friendly and responsive. I wasn’t there long enough to try the breakfast “which upsets me because I’m sure it would have been delicious”. Plenty of wildlife and stock animals that I’m sure kids would love it. Almost stole their cat though. We became buddies and everytime I would go outside, here came my little buddy to keep me company. I would highly recommend a stay here.”

“My son and I stayed here for a weekend to explore the fall leaf color. As a former VRBO host and a seasoned traveler, I can confidently say that this was my best stay ever. The studio is about one hour away from Grandfather Mountain and Ashville. We flew into Charlotte, which is also about an hour away. The drive to the property is pretty. The studio is a nicely converted basement and the hosts live onsite. There is a private driveway and entrance to the unit, so guests can have total……

“It's a large, clean room. The location is in ideal country setting, close to all the Hickory area has to offer. The host were attentive and responsive to any of our concerns. The only advice I would offer is have a couple of comfortable chairs and perhaps a microwave. Would gladly stay here again. Highly recommend.”

“We were having a day trip to Gastonia for Thanksgiving and just needed a place to crash, we weren’t expecting it to be so conveniently located (2 minutes from my grandmothers house!) It’s very compact. Think split 1 bed but it was all wee needed! Very clean and very easy to find. I’d 100% stay again!”
