“If you’re using it as a base, not a bad idea but keep in mind the place is pretty shabby, no shower available in the bathroom a bit smelly and very rundown no reinventing obviously. Put it this way there’s Spains on the chairs you sit on at dinner and there’s a layer of dust so thick it’s changed the colour of the lampshades in the dining room. A real shame as it’s a prime location.”

“This is a lovely hotel in beautiful Betws-y-coed in the heart of Snowdonia. We have stayed at this hotel many times, as the lodges are very clean, comfortable and to a high standard of comfort. The staff are always very pleasant and happy to help and the breakfast is very plentiful and delicious”

We had hoped that booking so far ahead would allow us to be allocated one of the more desirable rooms. Unfortunately, we were allocated Clock Tower 1, an accessible Deluxe Room.
