"Easy parking, friendly staff, and large rooms were the highlights of Ameristar. I picked this hotel for my last night in St. Louis before a depressingly early flight. At 10 minutes to the airport, it was a very easy morning. The casino was an added bonus, giving me a way to unwind before my time home. Unfortunately, it is extremely smoky from the moment you get off the elevator from the parking garage. Even on the non-smoking floor of the casino, there is no refuge from the cigarette smell. That was to be expected though, and my non-smoking room was clean and unexpectedly large with a sunken living room and view of a body of water that I'm too lazy to look up."

"Nice property. Clean and quiet and conveniently located. Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Dining options nearby. Only one minor complaint was there are no hand towels available - only wash cloths and bath towels."
