「I love this place, it's a gem! The staff are all incredibly helpful, friendly and kind. I was suppose to stay 3 nights but got caught-up in the London Heathrow meltdown and my connection to Glasgow was cancelled. I took a train to Motherwell the next day. I called to explain and they were very accommodating of me missing my first night. Today I stated the West Highland Way trek. The Motherwell train station is a 1 hour train ride from Milgavnie (a starting point for the West Highland Way)....

「Just what we needed for a weekend. Clean comfortable room. No sittng / lounge area as it is a pub! A bit noisy Saturday night, but we had been warned and ear plugs were provided. If you are happy with basic rather than luxurious this is a good place to stay.Friendly helpful staff, and we enjoyed the Sunday quiz!. A good breakfast too.」

「Our beds were very comfortable. Staff were extremely helpful. The breakfast was very good, particularly the scrambled eggs! We would like to have had our dinner in the hotel but the menu was basic in the extreme. Burgers, burgers and more burgers. To be fair the hotel had just changed ownership two days before our stay, so hopefully the evening meals will improve.」
