“Bed was comfortable, large room and bathroom, very clean throughout the hotel. Breakfast was varied and well cooked. Service was excellent. Staff friendly and helpful. Gardens extensive. No local amenities that I was aware of. Sort of place ideal if just passing through, having a reception or making use of the bar/restaurant.”

“Very enjoyable stay. Too hot overnight. Understand Air Conditioning was unavailable, will be better next time. Would have preferred bathroom door to open alternative way. Light very bright when opening door overnight. Or second switch inside bathroom. Bottle of water waiting in room very good idea. Staff professional and pleasant. Good quality breakfast. We will be staying there again.”

“Breakfast was terrific ,beds firm and comfortable,staff friendly and amenable,on the negative side it’s an 18c coaching Inn and you could be forgiven for thinking that’s the last time it was updated,baths quite high for getting out of comfortably,toilet handle broken and a bare piece of wood behind it used as a supporting spacer,cold water was just above a dribble.Fortunately it was not too cold as radiator Luke warm.Furniture are fixings in and out of room are very tired. I did ask for a quiet……

Glad we had beautiful sunny weather but it made it a little too warm for us in the room, but of course we aren't expecting A/C in a classic building. We love the charm & character and wouldn't have it any other way. ”

“A bit dated but a lovely stay apart from that. Gets a bit noisy due to being so close to the road and railway, and single-glazing does not help much. However, rooms were lovely and comfy, and nicely decorated. Enjoyed watching films on TV in the evening from my cosy bed. ”

“We booked this little hotel for after a very long and busy day visiting longleat and it was just perfect. Room was comfy and we all slept well. Breakfast was great too. ”

“A wonderful Manor House with views and trees, birds and big Wiltshire skies. Perfect room with an enormous comfortable sleigh bed, sofa and spotless bathroom. Wendy is a perfect host and was so caring of us. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully laid out on a large dining table. I so recomment this wonderful bed and breakfast and will definitely return some day.”

“I warned that I might be late on arriving. I was very moved by the care of the owners who had closed the curtains and put a light on when I arrived. The instructions to ensure the hotel is kept safe and secure is great. Owners are helpful and friendly. I wouldn't hesitate to come back again, and I recommend anyone who is considering coming.”

“Staff was helpful and the room was fantastic. Dinner and breakfast were fine. I’m sure it had nothing to do with the hotel, but there was an absolute terrible stench outside when we arrived, it could actually still be smelled in the room. It eventually died down but never went away”
