Aminities were pretty outdated and not well-kept but I think for the location and price it wasn’t horrible. We only stayed a night . If you are into the older-vintage feel, you’d probably enjoy it.

Location was great and the view of the castle from our room was magical. The parking instructions were not abundantly clear, and I could not get the discount code to work but the car park was reasonably convenient compared to everything else in the UK.

Fantastic location , super helpful staff and nice big rooms. Hotel is old so pretty warn out especially the hallways . Bedrooms are basic but have coffee and are clean. They are starting to renovate it so once done it should be pretty nice. For the price charged it's great value and I would stay there again.

Great location close to the castle and numerous dining options, however, street noise and homeless made getting rest a challenge. The room was a bit musty which is probably why there was a portable fan in the room.

Our room look directly to the castle just as we hoped. The hotel is under going renovations. Our room was not renovated but was spacious and clean and bed was comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful at all times. Stored luggage for us so we could enjoy the day and ok for an hour extension in the morning.

Great location but the hotel is so run down. Other hotel guests were screaming and shouting until 3am. The number for reception didn’t work. The windows didn’t fit properly so the wind was howling all night long. The bed was hard and very uncomfortable. Literally the worst hotel experience ever.
