“This place has totally turned around since we last visited. This time we stayed overnight and had a fantastic evening meal. The rooms were cosy and clean. Comfortable beds. Breakfast was standout but most of all the staff were fantastic. Friendly, professional and a world away from the sloppy service of a few years ago. Would totally recommend.”

“This was an amazing place to stay. If you are looking for an authentic "room above a country pub" experience. This is the place. It does have old pub quirks, the floors arent very level, and the access upstairs is challenging. But the charm of the beams and windows is undeniable. The apartment was beautifully decorated, and if you're into art, this places hums with it. We loved our time here. And its location means its easy to explore Gloustershire and South Wales. ”

“Very cosy but modernized historic property! Had its own pub and restaurant serving delicious food and drink, and our hotel room included a cooked to order hot breakfast. It’s in a quiet countryside but with easy access to towns for any needed supplies. The staff were all friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!”

“Very comfy beds, very friendly staff, convenient location, great service and food at the pub! We stayed in a spacious family room (2 rooms with king beds), although only one floor above the pub so it was a bit noisy.”

“Hotel easily found, free parking, free WiFi (which actually worked). Reception could not have been more helpful. Our suitcases were carried to our rooms. The choice of food on offer was good, waiting staff were courteous and helpful and service was good. We had intended to have a meal in Tetbury but in fact had our meals at the Priory Inn. I would say that the en-suite bathrooms are probably due a refresh. On the plus side, there were fans in the bedrooms and chilled fresh water available from……

“Great spot in a pretty village. Lovely countryside and neighbouring villages surrounding. Secure parking. Handy for Gloucester. Reasonably priced. Good pub nearby. Friendly host. Very nice breakfast - served early at my request. Cute dogs. Room was charming and well equipped, although it could benefit from the one thing I couldn't find...a fan. Very warm in the elevated annexe in the summer. Overall, excellent.”
