“We loved the atmosphere of the Alverton and its grounds. There was plenty of space for parking and the reception was only a short walk. The rooms we had were very well presented and very clean. I have marked down on the eco credentials as all the lights and television were on when we arrived which wasn't necessary. The terrace was a great place to sit in the late afternoon for a pre-dinner drink. At times the bar staff were talking to each other rather than looking after customers needs but……

“Just amazing, I could not fault a thing. Perfect location, easy onsite parking, massive room with a stunning view of the harbour. Super friendly staff, great range of beers in ‘The Pub’. Beautifully cooked & presented breakfast. 100% spot on. Will definitely go back & stay again.”

“Stay at this hotel. Firstly, a credit to the staff, all of whom were fantastically polite and personable, providing simply great service. The vintage lift was a unique joy with the communal areas continuing the slightly nostalgic theme. The bar and dining vibe was relaxed, quiet and combined with great food and attentive staff made for a relaxed breakfast, evening drinks and dinner. “The moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed with the outstanding beauty of the countryside and with the quality of the hotel which was also very spacious. We felt very pampered by the facilities provided. Maria in charge of the breakfast showed unprecedented professionalism and was very welcoming. I would have liked to have seen a few seats scattered around outside, other than just by the clubhouse. Nevertheless we will definitely be back. Thank you to all the staff.”

“Everything was excellent, only issue was there was a private function on and we were informed the bar would be closed to us after 9pm on the second night! First time ever this has happened and we have stayed in multiple hotels! Guests in the hotel shouldn’t be refused access to the bar at all. ”
