“The hotel is in a great location. Definitely an upmarket feel, lovely views over the river and the bridge and church. Service was excellent by everyone we encountered. The bar and restaurant areas are really nice and comfortable, food and drink was great. Easy parking, plenty of it. We had a four poster delux room with river view. These look over the weir, which is lovely but is very loud. The rooms have very old windows that don’t shut properly. We didn’t mind the white noise so much but one……

“The Chequers Marlow was in a perfect location, just what we were looking for. We had a drink in the Hotel bar but didn’t eat there, instead we chose to dine at The Coach up the road, one of Tom Kerridge’s many establishments in Marlow (all worth a visit) which was Amazing, highly recommend. Marlow it’s self is beautiful and The Chequers doesn’t disappoint, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“Shared ablutions, very clean tho. Rooms are compact but comfortable, linen spotless and fresh, comfortable bed. Great TV, hospitality includes a fridge - ideal! Cafe/restaurant onsite serves really good meals incl specials board - bonus! ”

“We had a fantastic stay for my birthday at Danesfield House Hotel and Spa and the team went above and beyond for the special occasion organising a free room upgrade, plus chocolates & a birthday card in the room. We hadn't been for a few years & I had forgotten what a lovely hotel this is, definitely a great choice for a special, luxurious stay & all the staff provide excellent service. ”

“Very welcoming staff. Room was very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast was basic.. Continental.. not great when you are gluten free Arrived back at hotel about 1020 soaking wet but bar, lounge etc. all closed no staff around so couldn’t get a hot drink and dry off before heading to room. Despite this it’s a lovely little place to stay ”

“Everything about our trip was lovely. Except the room we were given. Our room 17 located at the back of the building above the kitchen. The noise of the air con units from the kitchen started work about 4am. There was no air con in the room and it was extremely warm in there. We couldn’t open the windows because of the noise. Phylis Court is a lovely place to stay if you don’t have this type of room. The service is above and beyond the location is delightful and so near the town ”
