「Great location, beautiful home. Communication was excellent, the beds were comfortable. Great view of Fuji. My only concern would be the mold in the downstairs bathroom. Looks like an outside leak inside the walls coming through. I did notice a mold/musty smell from it and had a couple headaches while staying there. Either from the mold or the storm that came through.」

「As soon as you open the door you smell the mold! This should not be a rental as it cannot be safe to stay in. You can see the mold seeping through the walls (I have pucs if needed) and the smell is terrible! Communication was difficult prior to check in.」

「This house is really nice for anyone looking to spend quality time with friends and family near the stunning Fuji Mountain and serene Yamanaka Lake. The comfort and warmth of the space make it a perfect retreat after a day of exploring the beautiful surroundings. The picturesque views from the windows make it feel just like home, ensuring a relaxing stay! The bed was a bit noisy, and the 10am check-out was a uncomfortable, but everything else was perfect.」

"We had an amazing stay at Hakone Hotel Kowaki-en. Since its recent renewal, the hotel feels incredibly modern, clean, and welcoming. ​The highlight was definitely the open-air hot spring on the top floor—soaking in the onsen while taking in the stunning mountain views was pure bliss. The buffet was another pleasant surprise; both breakfast and dinner offered a fantastic variety of fresh seafood, sashimi, and even free-flowing drinks. ​Location-wise, it’s highly convenient as the bus stop is right in front of the property. The staff were attentive, and the overall ambiance was peaceful. It's an excellent half-board choice for anyone looking to unwind in Hakone. Highly recommended!"
