    Bedroom 3: Double (4ft 6in) Bed. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial fuel for wood burner included. Travel cot and highchair. Enclosed lawned garden, patio and garden furniture. Bike store. 2 pets welcome (£40 per pet, paid directly to the owner). Parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: Sorry, no hen or stag parties, couple and family booking only. This property has a natural water supply from a borehole. There is a covered pond in the garden.. Situated on a working farm, this detached holiday cottage has far reaching countryside views over the Hovingham Estate in the Howardian Hills, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Enjoy dining al fresco on the patio area in the ¼-acre lawned garden, or relax beside the wood burner on winter evenings. The market town of Helmsley is 10 miles away, and a 30-minute scenic drive to the ancient city of York. Shop, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

If you are after somewhere away from people then this is the place for you, unfortunately our stay was cut short but the cottage was perfect and very clean and the owner was very pleasant and helpful. Would definitely go back as perfect for relaxing and plenty of walks in beautiful countryside with the family including the dog

Hovingham

Lovely little cottage and very homely with good heating. We arrived late around midnight and the property was quite hard to find so make sure you get full instructions from the host and arrive in good time as the location is quite remote.

We had a lovely break.

We had a lovely break. The cottage was so lovely, surrounded by beautiful views and so quiet. My children loved seeing the animals and being on a farm. The cottage was so clean and well equipped. There isn't anything in walking distance so you do need to drive to the village for supplies but that is what we wanted. The owners were so welcoming and friendly. If you want a peaceful, comfortable break away I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo
