"Hotel Kikuya was a nice hotel, and my friends and I enjoyed our one night stay there. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for somewhere to stay near Yamagata-shi. ARRIVAL: We had rented a car and were following the Google map trying to find the hotel, but we were unable to find it without calling the hotel. "-A traditional, neat Ryokan which run by a three gen family. -The family is very hospitable. -You can visit 3 share onsen freely by stay in the Ryokan. -Don't miss the dinner and breakfast which prepare by the owner. Very fresh ingredient with huge amount of dishes and please make space from your stomach before the meal."

"We visited in wJanuary from the United States and absolutely loved our stay. The hosts are extremely helpful, and offer transportation to/from ski rentals, slopes, restaurants, and hot spring/onsen for bathing. The host gave us recommendations for dining and we felt like we were at a 5-star resort with no worries. Very cozey stay for those seeking and enjoyable adventure to Zao Onsen. I definitely recommend."
