"Excellent location. Easy to walk into town and attractions Lots of restaurants/ bars locally ( within easy walking distance) Good breakfast. Didn’t eat anything else in the hotel. Good variety of drinks in the bar. Lovely veranda overlooking the river you can use until 10 pm at the bar. Would be perfect if tea/ coffee facilities were available in the room. although you can buy these in the bar. "

"Liked parking. Disliked everything else. We booked Roosevelt but it looked closed. By accident we found it was now an annex of a hotel up the road. Whole thing was a shambles. We only stayed as we had been soaked by the weather"

"Absolutely fantastic value for money. This is a £300 plus room per night. Lovely staff, beautiful location, property with great food and drinks. The rooms were like new and the standard of decor is top draw. This was a complete and very pleasant surprise at the end of a mini euro tour. "

"Let’s start with the pros: -rooms were clean and tidy. -pool and spa facilities (all outdoor) were a lovely welcome addition and access was easy and until 10pm. -evening food in the restaurant was nice. Cons: -my biggest issue with this hotel is health and hygiene. The breakfast was quite frankly inedible as the young lady doing breakfast service had left most things uncovered. Flies had literally swarmed the pastries, bread, jams and juices meaning that my breakfast options were very limited...

"A quaint and lovely hotel with an excellent breakfast. The hotel had personality plus. The staff members were professional, polite, and warm. I definitely recommend the hotel."

"Great location, a few minutes walk from the citadel, cathedral and main sights. Good information about the check in from the host beforehand. Room was clean and a good size, I would just say lacking some facilities - for example some additional electrical charging points by the bed for charging mobile, a light switch on both side of the bed. Generally a very convenient location."

"The one word that accurately sums up this place is "disappointing". The pictures were obviously taken with lighting that hid or obscured the poor condition the walls and parts of the house were in. The shower was so tiny that I had to use it hunched over almost 90 degrees. There were multiple sockets that were closed off with just duct tape, and the kitchen was in serious need of repainting. "On our penultimate day of a short jaunt through the Ardennes, we had an enjoyable time in Montherme, visiting the Roc la Tour also know as the Castle of the Devil! There was no chance of taking a boat trip on the river as everything seemed to have closed down, which was a shame as the boat was moored there and the timetable suggested it should have been going."

"We arrived at 5.15pm and found the doors closed and a sign on the door with a telephone number of the owner to call for arrivals after 4pm. We called the number and left a message, left with no option but to wait outside in a cold January day with a child. The owner called us back only 1.15h later!!! All this time we were supposed to wait outside on a cold winter afternoon. Likely for us a lady (I assume from the family) was passing by the entrance and opened the door letting us in. No sauna (it was locked), no fireplace, TV barely worked, it was quite cold, and no curtains in our bedroom = very bright night and less sleep. and... only 250 mb of internet for free... no mention of this beforehand.
