"Dining is great"

"Our stay at The Beekman was great. The best part is the on site dining options. The Bar Room is stunning and has a great vibe. Be sure to make reservations if you are visiting in the evening on weekends. The bell staff are especially friendly. The only complaint would be that there is no self serve water in the lobby and twice during our stay the coffee was empty (no in room coffee available). Also, turn down service was only offered for part of our stay. "

If you like walking in the city, this hotel has the perfect location to get anywhere with a healthy walk (not talking "around the corner" but something that will nicely get you over 10k steps/day) including the Central Park, Chelsea, Soho, East & West Village, etc. If you want to use the subway, the station is close-by. "We chose the St.Regis for its famous lobby and bar and classic charm. We were not told until just before our arrival that the lobby was being renovated and off limits and the bar and restaurant were closed. We understand those are being modernized and the beautiful rooms will also be modernized. Exactly what we do not want, so we will not return."

"Expensive but worth it. Two adults & 2 younger kids. We got a one bedroom suite that was HUGE. Most of the reasonably priced rooms in the city are the size of shoe boxes. NOTE: though they list that the room sleeps 4 , it doesn’t without rollaways. But the rooms are so big that the rollaways fit no problem. Bed was comfy. Room was quiet-never heard neighbors above, below, or to the sides. Usual NYC noise on the street at all hours but not bad with a white noise machine. Ask for a higher...

"Clean and modern rooms. Nice rooftop bar with good service to match. Amenities boxes in the room were present but empty for some reason. Late checkout is only till 13:00 after which it’s chargeable which was a disappointing “benefit” of the travel rewards company used for the booking. Excellent location and friendly staff, mostly."
