「If you’re visiting Georgetown for its history, the American River Hotel is the perfect place to stay. A stunning building, with an interior to match. Every room is unique and charming. The owner/innkeeper and his mother are truly gracious hosts.」

「A nice cozy wooden hotel, somewhat old but very well maintained and recently remodeled, from what I can tell. Very clean. Breakfast is varied with fruits and eggs and mini muffins and all kinds of stuff, but the best thing was the automated pancake maker which provides entertainment while it makes pancakes.」

「The room was awesome. The condition was ok. The couches are white as it is decorated the way it was in the olden days and they are a bit dirty. I understand that. I was not comfortable sitting on it but I loved the room. There was no coffee in the room so that was no bueno. 」

「The checking was easy. I had prepaid for the stay. Miki was very helpful with my special needs accommodations. 1st floor, service animal. She was very nice and i enjoyed speaking with her. For me, simple is perfect. I needed very little. My room was efficient and was all i needed. The room was clean and bright. Nice bathroom and shower. Good water pressure and plenty of Hot water. My queen bed was comfortable. The sheets and pillow cases were clean and fresh. There was enough for space...

The staff is helpful and friendly. Most of the information and communication needed is done by email or text. We will definitely will return. 」

「Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere every time I visit Rest. The wine hour and breakfast are great. We always eat at Taste which is excellent. The immediate area is historic and closed down. It’s a great place to stay after a day of wine tasting and exploring the historical towns nearby. 」
