The hotel is eco friendly with a great view of Sigiya mountain. Pool is to die for with enough chairs for the size of the hotel. Lots of grounds to walk in seeing the many monkeys and wildlife! Staff were friendly but could not converse well in English. The service was extremely slow around the pool and in the dining area. Quality of food was poor compared to other hotels we have stayed in. In fact we visited the Heritage hotel for dinner one night which was far superior to what we had at this hotel. It’s a pity as the hotel itself is lovely.

Loved everything about this property, its location looking at Pidurangala and Sigiriya Rock was stunning. Plenty of food options. Staff were super helpful and couldn’t do enough to please, constantly checking that everything was okay. They would arrange Tuktuk, private drivers and even check train travel for us. Would definitely stay here again

When you first walk up the steps to reception, the view just blows you away. Wonderful outlook onto Sigirya Rock with the infinity pool in the foreground. Our chalet room was large, cool and comfortable. The grounds were lovely, as was the pool and the spa. The food was mainly buffet and excellent. The staff were awesome. Very thrilled with our stay.

Wonderful service and great views!
We stayed here with my family for 3 nights and the service was wonderful! Rooms were spacious and clean, the bed was very comfortable. Also not many bugs and critters considering where its located. The food both choices were great and the buffet has plenty of choices to please everyone. Highly recommend it and the location is also perfect.

Exquisite property; beautiful lobby with incredible views; the grounds are elegantly maintained per the natural environment. Rooms are large & comfy with great bathrooms. The oversized pool with views of surrounding area is magnificent; at night there are twinkling lights in pool floor which makes for magical swimming. We were there on full moon which was incredibly romantic. Food in restaurant is top notch. Look forward to returning for a longer stay! Thank you

Incredible experience
An incredible hotel. You might book, like me, due to the location and the view of Sigirya, however you will not want to leave this hotel. Fabulous staff (Roshan at guest relations was particularly fabulous), and great facilities. The pool is amazing. To be able to swim in a such a huge pool and also have the view is a great experience. I stayed I one of the wooden bungalows, built out of recycled wooden packing containers. It was wonderful. Even the art was recycled, but in the nicest style! The internet was the only slight let down.

Great hotel near Sigiriya
This was our first stop in Sri Lanka and we stayed for 3 nights. Very nice hotel with one of the most amazing pools ever! Food is great, the rooms are spacious and you really get the feeling of being in Sri Lanka. Very good value for the money.

Badminton was good fun! Tree planting signage and labelling was very interesting and engaging. But the most amazing part was the Sri Lankan food. The Hoppers were phenomenal and the potato curry at breakfast sublime!

Beautiful
This place is outstanding. I wish we spent more time here and used it as a base to see places like Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Dambulla and of course Sigiria. The resort is beautiful, rooms very spacious and well designed. Restaurants are good, however breakfast is badly organised. I would recommend Aliya to anyone looking to travel around this part of Sri Lanka.

Aliya was our favourite hotel we stayed at throughout our trip. Absolutely amazing view of sigirya from the terrace and pool. The approach to the hotel way stunning as well as the room itself. For Sigiriya surroundings it's among the better hotel facilities. Clean and spacious. Great views of the rock and awesome pool. Service requests that we made to reception and house keeping were slow and required reminders or follow-up.
