“Unfortunately I stayed on a Monday/ Tuesday when the bar and restaurant are closed so cannot give a review of any amenities. The room key was in a key lock external to the property. Room was clean and tidy and would definitely stop again but not on the days the bar / restaurant are closed.”

“Cliff House was a great stay for one night. The staff were very helpful. We stayed in a ground floor room opposite the carpark which was not the best in terms of view but OK for one night (given accessibility was more important). The room was clean and nicely decorated, it had a slightly musty smell perhaps because it was on the floor next to kitchens etc but overall fine. The fan was going in the room as we arrived and was definitely welcomed in this heat. The building is older so it was……

“We had a very small room inland snug but unfortunately in the heat the small fan given to us was inadequate to cool the room. We had dinner in the Jetty which was fabulous down by the waters edge with.a delicious prawn spaghetti and cod with crab.served by a very helpful young lady who was rushed off her feet. Very helpful staff and a lovely continental breakfast”

“The location of the hotel was perfect with views of the harbour and the lymington sea water baths are in walking distance . The hotel has free parking ,staff are friendly and helpfull. Our room was very clean and of a high standard . There was a good selection for breakfast to suit all tastes. We had a very enjoyable stay at the Mayflower hotel.”

“A great hotel in lovely setting , we have been coming here for short breaks for 20 years . Staff are always super helpful and facilities are great . Breakfast not as good as it used to be with only buffet option , should re- introduce the no charge al a carte menu for those who don’t enjoy buffet. Also bread choice very limited - need Granary / baguette options. Swimming pool was excellent with superb facilities for ordering drinks to the pool which in the extreme heat was very much……
