“The hotel is really nice, the lobby always smelt so nice! The room itself was very spacious and had partial sea view. The hotel is a 5 minute walk to the beach but beware the hotel is situated on quite a steep hill, going down is fine but I can't say the same for going back up. “Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk. Je wordt letterlijk in alles ontzorgd. Ze helpen je met alles en niks is teveel gevraagd. Het ontbijtbuffet is fantastisch. Twee van de drie buitenzwembaden zijn verwarmd tot 28/29 graden en zijn heerlijk, evenals de ligbedden. Het enige minpuntje was de kamer zelf. Deze was flink in gebreken. Veel dingen waren kapot, waaronder de schuifdeuren van de badkamer. De airco werkt niet goed en daardoor is het in de kamer behoorlijk heet. Het kaartje wat je in……

“The kitchen was pretty well equipped although it would have been nice to have a coffee maker. The rooms were kept very clean by the chambermaids and we have nothing but great things to say about the wonderful fellows that manned the front desk. The area of Olhos de Aqua is a very quaint part of Albufeira which we absolutely loved. We felt very safe here and loved all the little restaurants in the area. We would definitely stay here again. Our thanks to all the staff!”

“Good stay, hotel is super clean and on the whole helpful staff. Breakfast room is so nice with the sea view. In this visit a problem with our shower cubicle which was only resolved by us moving rooms the following day & hopefully it will get fixed before anyone else gets allocated that room as it a hazard. Giving extra towels to mop up isn’t the answer. Given vouchers for a drink to compensate for the inconvenience but then was told by the bar tender only one could be used per transaction.……

“The numerous pools onsite we enjoyable and my son,8, enjoyed the kids zone with the water slides. The beds we comfortable, the hotel was relatively quiet at night while sleeping, the room was large with plenty of room for my family of three, the kitchen was well-equiped and close to city center for groceries and restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here!”

“Great place for a family - beach within a short walking distance, several pools and a playground to keep kids entertained. Staff are lovely, we had a great stay, our second time there. Took a couple of days and a few requests to get a highchair though and never received coffee pods for the machine despite asking a few times. We also didn’t have any washing up soap or detergent for washing machine which we had last time, but perhaps amenities have changed. Really nice resort and staff, we would……

“Had a really good time there with my family. I actually booked another hotel in Sagres, but with much smaller space and poorer infrastructure. So I cancelled that one, and drove back again to Balaia hotel. Again the room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. There was also an indoor swimming pool nearby. Hotel staff was nice and helpful. Not to mention that the price is so attractive. Definitely worth it.”
