「This was a very funky hotel billed as a bed and breakfast. The property is well over 100 years old and clearly has some deferred maintenance issues, but it was so cool and funky. I would go back in a heartbeat. I’m sure the staff is really good but when I showed up there, the door was locked there was nobody at the desk. Nobody responded to my ringing the bell and nobody answered the phone, so at that point as I was getting really frustrated. I looked down and saw an envelope with my name on it...

「From the moment we checked in the ambiance was relaxing, welcoming and clean! We enjoyed the hot tub in the evening and the outdoor seating for morning coffee. Both staff and breakfast were excellent! Highly recommend if you are looking for more of a modern bed and breakfast stay for a couple!」

「Rooms were fabulous- had every amenity if you wanted to prepare meals. The pool was definitely heated and the 4 differently shaped hot tubs were such fun. The fire pit was delightful in the evening. The shuttle service back and forth to town was very convenient. Staff very friendly and accommodating」

「Loved everything about staying at The Delaware except the stairs. Reading the reviews before going, I thought, oh they can’t be that bad. Well, if you’re not a young person, these steps will hurt ya’. The breakfast was great! Ambiance in lobby area was comfortable and quiet. Prices in shops in Leadville have become outrageous.」

「It has nice view to the forest and you would be able to see the sunrise in the morning which is beautiful. The outdoor hot tub is supposed to be closed at 10pm, but people are still using it and making noises at night. We told the front desk about it, but they said the whole deck area is a common area, they couldn't do anything about it. This's weird that they have a rule to close the pool at 10pm but no one is forcing it.」
