「What stood out? Everything stood out, from the way the attractive artwork perfectly matched the accent wall, to the ambience of the communal dining room, the comfort of the bed and pillows, the soft orange glow of the fireplace in the dark when I walked in to the room for the first time - care and attention to detail was evident in every spotless crevice. Breakfast was fun and delicious, every moment in the room whole working or relaxing was quiet and delightful. 10/10」

「The room was clean and warm, the house was filled with charm and the food was delicious. I can’t say enough about the owners who were both extremely kind, thoughtful and wonderful to get to know.」

「This was a grand old mansion that was well cared for. The room was lovely, warm and comfortable. There was one other couple staying but we never saw them. The morning breakfast bar was more than adequate and the coffee was delicious. There were several sitting rooms on the first floor which were sunny and relaxing. Parking was right behind the house and keyless entry worked very well. This was a lovely location and I wish we had more time to stay there.」

Our hosts were very kind, and put generous effort into providing delicious breakfasts, giving suggestions about local attractions, and allowing us as much or as little cat time as we wanted. The room we were in was very cozy, with a comfortable bed, and thoughtful touches such as a water kettle for tea or coffee, a small fridge, and a TV setup we didn’t take advantage of.
