The hotel lobby was nice and they have a pool open from 8am to 8:00pm. The staff was nice and friendly.
Just ok. Needed a hotel to depart out of Cancun airport the next day. Yes, it’s an old and dated hotel. We opted not to pay extra to eat breakfast as there are plenty of cheap good places walking distance. Was annoyed that there was no extra roll of toilet paper, also no hairdryer in room. Had to go to front desk and was ask to return it when done. It’s marginally acceptable place. Rate per night was ok, there were similar price points nearby.
Great stay! The staff was really nice and it has so many nice restaurants and shops around for exploring. Close to the strip but not too close where you hear all the noises. 10/10 recommend

I had an amazing experience at Hotel Xbalamqué! The hotel has so much character — from the unique Mayan-inspired decor to the beautiful artwork throughout the property. The atmosphere felt fun, welcoming, and full of charm.
The staff was friendly and helpful, always making sure I had what I needed. My room was clean and comfortable, and I loved the little details that made the stay feel special. The location was also super convenient, with lots to explore nearby.
If you’re looking for a place in Cancún that’s affordable, full of personality, and not just another generic hotel, I highly recommend Xbalamqué.
Harder to get parking because it’s downtown, a few good restaurants around, a market a few minutes walk away. Staff is very nice and helpful, the photos made the room look a little better but still nice for the price. Pool is decent.
The place is convenient and offers enough for the amount they charge. Staff are helpful, place is clean. The only thing is that it’s an old building so expect abit of usual maintenance issues.
Quaint and comfortable simple clean rooms in a great central location in city center area is near to numerous parks and activities, public transport, and eminently walkable for lots of dining and entertainment options. Staff was excellent. The hotel is undergoing some renovations, which did not disturb my rest at all, but the pool is closed for renovations. It was quiet and easy to sleep at night, but busy and active in the area surrounding the hotel during the day. I safely enjoyed walking all around the area by myself all times of the day and evening. Well lit areas, lots of dining options and music all around.

The staff were great and really helpful. The hotel itself was underwhelming. It looks like it was built in the 90s and not kept up. If you need a place to crash for the night it’s ok. If you’re staying there for more than one night you might want to reconsider.
They need to change the water filter when you brush your teeth: the water tastes horrible. they need to open the windows in the bathroom. clean the air: in the pool there are a lot of mosquitoes. and desi fe tar. the beds. I think there are fleas.. The staff is very friendly. It is in a very good area.
I had a time here the customer service was exceptional. They were honest and catering. I stayed for one night only because I ended up coming to Mexico earlier than planned but even still I was properly tended to. Yes the standards are different but when you come from another country it’s best to embrace the different standards of living. The massage I got here was literally out of body. Beyond what I needed and it carried me the rest of the trip. I would definitely recommend this place.

The property is run down and has seen better days. The room smelled musty but got better once the AC was on. There is no value for your money except that the staff are knowledgeable and went over and beyond to make the stay a pleasant one. Too bad the building doesn't match the high standards of it's personnel. The area felt safe, ADO bus terminal was close by and there were many dining choices near by.

Faded Glory. At one time a grand hotel,, now dated and relic, ha ok l floors dirty . Like. Many Latinamcn old hotels , the wifi is only usaable in lobby as advertised. Knew try his wou look d be case, but wanted something cheap an downtown. The positives were good air-conditioning and friendly 24 hour front desk staff.
A friend of mine lost his gold ring inside our hotel room while we were away. Front desk staff were helpful and kind. Our room was below average when it comes to cleanliness. Online pictures and advertising were not accurate to the actual quality of this hotel. Need more security in this facility, wifi signals were so poor. Great wall art painting though.
So much attention to esthetics on the outside and hallways. However, the inside of the room had an Old TV, stained curtains off the hooks, safety lock on window missing screws. Dated furniture that had nothing to do with the Mayan charm marketed. Don’t get me wrong, for the price my expectations were not that high to begin with. But even then, the inside of the room did not meet my expectations. I had room #230 right on the corner intersection with noise coming from both directions until the middle of the night. The only thing this place had going for it was the location. Will definitely NOT stay here again!
