This property is gated and so was a little bit more challenging for my uber ride to access. Arrived a bit early and were told we would be messaged when our room was ready, this did not happen, instead we had to check back in with them. We waited in the beautiful pool. Hotel was not anywhere near full, but needed to wait for a room that had previously been occupied. Room we received was beautiful on the inside, however directly across from the elevator. A+ bathtub and luxurious shower. Super comfortable bed. Reserved an ocean view jr suite, but was on the other side of the hotel. I suspect this is because we had reserved a room at discount through Expedia. The hotel staff were helpful but the restaurant service was not great. Upon taking our orders the waiter asked why we weren't ordering more alcohol. We obliged, ordered more drinks and put in the food order- which he also questioned why there was not more of. After ordering he said alright see you in 3 years, a weird joke but then proceeded to disappear for 50 minutes- no water, no drinks- and we were the only ones in the restaurant. The manager came over at the end of those 50 minutes to ask what we ordered and then put the order in and we got food about 10 minutes later. When the food arrived it was delicious, and the drinks were good too. I let them know my food allergy, and 2 of the 3 dishes were made incorrectly, but at that point I just ate the falafel and asked for the check. Really confusing dining experience.
