This resort was overall nice, and the staff did a great job keeping everything clean and well-maintained. The beach area was beautiful, the ocean was enjoyable despite some seaweed (which they can’t control), and the drinks and service were excellent. Rooms were cleaned daily, and the staff was attentive—the best part of the resort.
That said, the resort felt very small compared to what I’m used to, with limited activities. The nightly shows were underwhelming, with most feeling like low-budget entertainment (and many primarily in Spanish). Food was disappointing—fried options were the best, and surprisingly the buffets were better than the sit-down restaurants with long waits.
Another drawback is that many perks, like certain drinks and restaurant options, are reserved for ‘elite club’ members. Realistically, there are only 5 restaurants and 3 bars for standard guests, and all pools/bars close by 6:30. The resort does offer parties at another property, but getting there and back takes 30+ minutes and you don’t have access to the same amenities.
Overall, the resort is clean and has a great staff, but the food and entertainment were a letdown and there isn’t much to do. Unless you’re looking for a very quiet, small-scale resort, I would not recommend it.
