"The service is above and beyond a five star hotel experience. They are so attentive, so accommodating and excellent at keeping you well informed of what spots to visit, eat at, etc. We were on our honeymoon here and the staff had prepared such thoughtful champagne, port wine already decanted (tasted at least 10 years), fresh fruit, and a filled nespresso machine. I was even touched by their detail of providing us with one smaller pair of slippers and one bigger for my husband, and they are SO cute! We regretted not staying there longer as we left at 8am for our tour. They boxed up our breakfast but the breakfast buffet looked glorious from a slight peek. I absolutely will not forget the service of this restaurant as it made it an unforgettable experience. Thank you to the tall slender gentleman that checked us in (sorry I forgot your name but I hope you get credits for this review). You're the best!"

"This was so much fun staying here, we really enjoyed it!Sandra was extremely responsive and helped us a lot with planning transport ahead of the trip. She also prepared some amazing food for our arrival as well as arranging a meal one of the evenings at our request. We were three families travelling with four young children and the house was set up perfectly for our needs with plenty of ways to keep the children entertained. The only reason for the lower vote was that we found some of the local restaurants weren’t very welcoming to young families - for a group of adults I think it would be a good area to stay in."

"My family and I had an excellent stay at Ricardo’s apartment. Its location is really spectacular. A short walk into the center of Colares. 10 min drive to great beaches and 10 minutes to Sintra. There is bus service to both as well that does not take long. The apartment is basic but comfortable. It had everything our family of 3 needed. It was very clean. The bedrooms are actual spacious and are on opposing sides of the kitchen/living area. The Garden area is pleasant and a nice spot to sit and have coffee or relax for a moment in between activities. There is a large free parking lot next to the property. We met and interacted with Ricardo several times. He was very responsive. He communicated very well. And was very pleasant to talk with. His recommendations for restaurants and sites to visit for great. The building has a 3 or 4 apartments. Noise was not an issue. Ricardo is remodeling the ground floor apartment. This was not a problem at all. He did well to keep tools and supplies tidy and covered up. This did not lessen the quality of our stay but I think if you are a princess or a snob this may bother you. "

"What a magical place! It’s like you stepped back in time when you arrive at this Quinta, surrounded by lush gardens. The woman who owns it grew up there and has so many fascinating stories to share about the house. Although it’s down a narrow gravel road, it’s easily accessible by car, Uber, and even Uber eats if you decide to order in. On the day we were without a car, were able to walk to the main road where there is a bus service to a lot of the sites in Sintra—though it was hard to leave the enchanting property. And my 8 year old son wanted me to mention that he found a lizard in the bathroom and had a lot of fun and the lizard was super cute."
