"My grandson and I stayed in The Glick for six nights so that he could attend kayak camp just a few blocks away at the harbor (which we also highly recommend). The apartment looked nice online, but it was even better than it appeared.First, it was very spacious. It has a full kitchen, which not all rental apartments have. "Finding the property was challenging. After traveling for 8 hours our online map kept telling us the location was approx 1 mile away at a vacant run down house. We had to call the phone number provided and at first the person who responded, seemed reluctant to give us accurate directions. Once I communicated my frustration, then she started helping us locate the long driveway next to a cornfield. We went up and down the road several times before we could locate the driveway.The only other negative was it seemed there was a pool available at some resort next to the property. This was not clear. The poolIs located at a KOA campground down the road. You receive a pass to go to the KOA once you arrive. This was a little misleading in all the marketing materials.Otherwise, we absolutely love the cottage and especially the location! It is a beautiful setting in the woods, located next to a huge salt marsh. The creek flows through the back yard between the cottage and marsh. Is you are looking for a place to “getaway” after a day at Chincoteague or ocean city, this is it!"

"The place was so outstanding that this was our second stay. We wanted to return for several reasons. The host was wonderful, very accessible and friendly. The home has a unique and open design that is designated to enjoy the view. We noticed that the deck railing and part of the dock was a little weather-worn the first time but was newly replaced this visit! Happily, the deck railing was lowered so we could see more of the view when sitting outside. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed as well as in the bathrooms, plus all the comforts & extras provided around the home such as games and books. We utilized the kayaks and equipment to paddle to the ocean for two amazing private beach days! We tried to be hyper-careful about the marsh tide schedule but it fluctuated extremely so be careful. (We got a bit stuck in the marsh mud one day and had to paddle back in near dark another evening - opps. But fun adventures and all worked out!) If you're looking for privacy, extreme relaxation and some kayaking, this is the place. I suppose other visitors ventured out to restaurants but we stayed put and enjoyed every minute of solitude. A well-needed reset for us."
