“This is definitely an older hotel, but given that, we had a really good experience here. It was so nice to have the 3 queens with one in a seperate room for our family. There was a hot breakfast which was nice. It had it's quirks -- no counter space around the sink, chips in the sink, building side door that you help open with a rock instead of using a key, haha. But truly it was a good night's sleep outside of Black Canyon of the Gunnison and the staff were all quite nice and helpful.”

“I was charged for my partners service animal. I informed them i had a service dog and they told me it was an extra $10 I reiterated it was a service animal, and that it is illegal to charge more. I did not offer paperwork and it was never requested. They did not ask me if it was trained to assist someone with a disability or what the disability was. They told me i had to pay extra or lose the room. I told them this was against the law and the response was negative. Then i was told to pay the……

“The young woman who greeted me noted I was very tired. She immediately moved me to a ground level room. Room was extremely comfortable. Parking close to entrance. I departed before breakfast hours but staff had a basic breakfast ready and I departed with a hot coffee. Great job!”

“The property shows better online than in actuality. The overall property doesn't seem very well taken care of. RV sites are overgrown and the cabin was dark and musty smelling. The area itself didnt feel as safe as we would gave liked. We had to leave early for personal reasons and didn't expect a full refund by any means buy maybe something would have been nice. I hope they use the money to clean up the property. Very disappointing.”

“The room was a bit damaged, but it was definitely pretty cleanly.The breakfast was honestly terrific. Yummy waffles, fresh coffee, and juice, as well as a cereal bar with whole and 2% milk. ”

“Very unique building with a very nice and large room and bathroom. One note, if you buy the room off Expedia they don’t give them your actual email and Rathbone sends you an email with registration code. I called them and thankfully we got there before 8pm ( bar closes/staff goes home ). Overall, excellent hotel.”
