Wallhope Retreat - Chepstow, spectacular views

Wallhope Retreat - Chepstow, spectacular views

10/10 Excellent
"Wallhope Retreat could set the gold standard for holiday cottages! We booked for the wonderful view and the hot tub, but were wowed by the whole experience. The cottage is beautifully decorated, well equipped and comfortable - the bedding is like sleeping on a cloud! Wonderfully peaceful, with nothing but birdsong and the cows to listen to, the comfortable garden furniture is the perfect spot to sit and enjoy it. Tucked away beside the kitchen is a small courtyard which was the perfect spot for morning coffee too. We couldn’t have asked for more from a holiday cottage, it really sets the gold standard for how to do it - they’ve thought of everything and got it absolutely right."

Welsh Gatehouse: Historical Castle with EV Charger

10/10 Excellent
"This rental home was absolutely stunning! The hosts were responsive, accommodating, and very kind. Thye let us use the whole property which had beautiful gardens and a stunning moat. The cleanliness of the actual place was top notch. We had a great stay and the castle was just such a perfect way to end the trip. The room is spacious and great for a historical stay. We loved having breakfast up on the roof and the surrounding town is amazing. It's in a great location. Definitely re commend staying here"

"Lovely property and setting. Super clean and loved the little extras in the kitchen and bathrooms.I would recommend however to avoid Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings if you have an irrational fear of church bells! (I dont suppose many people other than me do though). Thank you Charlotte x"

The Nook - Farm stay with hot tub - Chepstow

The Nook - Farm stay with hot tub - Chepstow

10/10 Excellent
"The Nook, fabulous Shepherds Hut on a working farm, Bolthole Retreats have created a wonderful place to come and chill out in the hot tub whilst looking over the estuary. The hut is outfitted to a very high standard, was spotlessly clean when we got there and we were left to it but our hosts were there for us if we needed. The Wallhope ice cream parlour is a must and next time we will sample the farm reared beef, sausages and burgers as they looked delicious. Will definitely be coming back but probably in the winter so we can do the hot tub and light the wood burner! definitely would highly recommend!"

Pet friendly 'Home from Home in the Wye Valley Wales

Pet friendly 'Home from Home in the Wye Valley Wales

10/10 Excellent
"We had a great time staying in the cottage and found it nice and clean. Nothing really to detract from our Christmas. Log fire was perfect. Location of the house is ideal for trips to the Brecons and into the Wye valley area. 15mins to Tintern Abbey and some excellent dog walking areas. Garden isn't totally secure if you have a houdini dog like ours but it's a big space for them to explore on a long lead. Helen was available if we needed anything and has a ready supply of logs for the fire. "
