"Absolutely loved this hotel and Santa Margherita de Ligure. It’s a fantastic place to stay, the area is absolutely beautiful and so easy to get around, the hotel is elegant, the staff are so friendly and welcoming, and the food was fantastic quality. The breakfasts were superb, the patisserie worthy of Paul Hollywood. We ate once in the evening and it was v good but v expensive and there are some excellent restaurants in Santa Margherita. The poolside service was a bit slow- they bed a bit of training there, but tvat is a mi or matter. I’m telling everyone I know to go there, we loved it so much. Just one word of caution - you do need to be moderately fit or at least not completely unfit - the hotel is on a hill with fantastic views but it’s 130 steps down to the sea. We definitely came back fitter than we left - just as well with all that gorgeous patisserie at breakfast"

"The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is fantastic. The issues we had were the thin walls between the rooms and people coming in at 1 to 4 am and talking full volume and constantly making it hard to sleep. "
