Fuji in the room - walkable distance to train station - there are restaurants nearby which will open till 10 or 11pm - hostel provides free bread, coffee and fruit - condition of the room is better than expected Cons: - the host/staff was not really hospitable, this didn't mean any impoliteness though - sound insulation is really really bad, please be aware if you are a light sleeper - not enough slippers, need to bring your own one"

"Highly recommended. We have travelled widely around the world but this hotel will remain in our memories. The owners were extremely pleasant, kind and helpful. They went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our stay .The property was very clean and warm, it also has wonderful views of Mount Fuji on a clear day. The private onsens (hot baths) were delightful at the end of a busy day exploring.The area is very quiet, away from all the touristic crowds but only 9 miles from Kawaguchiko lake and Chureito Pagoda. The breakfast and dinner in Japanese style were fantastic. We also had free use of some bikes so we could cycle around the whole lake and there were plenty of Manga comics to read. "
