Clean and great location

Condo was very clean had everything we need. Bed was comfortable. Great location close to everything. Short walk to beach with beach setup. Great view of lake. Also loved that it was pet friendly.

Family vacation

This place was in a great location, the property was nice and quiet, my family of 6 slept in the condo comfortably, the only thing is the bunks in the wall are not big, not teenage boy size, toddler and small children could sleep there. The view was awesome, nice and relaxing

Lakeview Beach condo

We enjoyed our second stay in this pet friendly condo. It has a great view of the small lake & a short stroll to the beach. The location is close to some great restaurants as well. The furniture/decor has been updated and was much better. We had a few maintenance issues but they were addressed in a timely manner. Overall, we enjoyed our stay & hope to visit again soon.

Beautiful home! Loved every moment. Even resulted in late check out. Could use a more utensils for cooking and pots and sofas could use some cleaning but other than that, enjoyed my stay. Will book again

Family spring break

We have an 8 person family, blended, with 2 parents and 6 kids, our stay here was perfect, enough room for everyone to not be on top of each other the whole stay, great community of people, my kids were safe to take walks and wander around a little together, the pool was warm even on the days that were a little chilly for our liking, we were able to cook at the apartment and enjoy each other's company. Thankyou for providing a comfortable and accommodating place for our big family.

I rated it 4 stars. I love southbay, and I’d have to really have a problem to rate it low. This condo did the trick - it had the basics. I was worried about renting through a company like Vacasa instead of a more traditional owner, but communication was good, and I had asked about early check-in, and luckily we were eligible for that, and they let us know in a timely manner. A very minor downside was they had not one extra garbage bag, any dish soap, hand soap or a pod of laundry detergent. I feel like having just one of those things or an extra goes a long way, but like I said, that’s super minor. We just stayed for four nights, and we didn’t eat any meals at the condo either, so not sure about things in the way of meals. I will say they did have shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Overall, great place and stay!

Very cute

Nicky decorated, view of the lake is nice. Easy walk to the beach, pool and tennis courts. Not many pots and pans for cooking, but it was stocked with lots of small appliances like blender, coffee maker, toaster oven, and griddle. Be aware that the bunks are very small ( crib mattress size) and the area can get a little warm when they are sleeping so bring a small portable battery fan. Overall nice condo and community and I would stay here again

1st time in Destin

We loved the location. Everything was within minutes of this property. The condo was super cute and we loved it. My husband and I had our moms with us and they loved the 2nd bedroom. They each had their own bed and bathroom. Our moms are best friends so they are good with staying in the same room together. We enjoyed watching the turtles. The condo had everything we needed kitchen and bathroom wise. Fresh sheets for the foldout couch bed. Plenty of towels. We made sure to wash and dry the towels. Sorry we didn’t get to fold them. 1st time in Destin and 1st time using Vacasa. I was a little stressed and nervous brining our moms with us. Thank you for making this part of the trip so easy for me. Will book again!

This was the worst condo I have ever stayed at and my family goes to the Florida beaches every year! Day one and the oven was completely broken, never worked out whole trip. When I reached out to Vacasa, the reply was from an AI bot. This condo is owned by Vacasa so you never get to speak directly to an owner! Then, on the last couple days of our stay we find out that roofing work has been scheduled! They worked on the roof from 6:30am to 8:00 pm at night. There were singles everywhere and the front and back porch were tarped off. We could hardly get into the condo! They never told us to move our vehicle so it got covered in shingles! When I complained, they were rude and refused to compensate us appropriately for the ruined vacation! DO NOT BOOK THIS CONDO! I'm never booking with Vacasa again!

Vacation "Maid" of Honor

First off, the customer service is a joke. No one was helpful and could not help me. So check-in was awful and I was basically left to fend for myself. I came for a vacation, not to be a cleaning crew. Upon arrival, the unit was not clean. I had to clean most of the dishes, silverware, trash from previous personnel staying there. Most trash was found where my kids were to sleep at the bunk locations. No linen for their beds either. When local property manager fianally called, I informed them that we had no linen for the kids bed. They sounded confused and said they would bring it over. They also offered to have a claning person come over to make the two infant beds and pick up the trash. They tried to make it right... but it should have been done before letting someone arrive to this cluster. Epic fail. Just saying. My opinion. We also found hair balls that looked like spiders that were stuck to the bath wall tiles. Almost gave me a heart attack when trying to get clean. Almost made myself dirty all over again if you know what I mean... The air vents were nasty and dusty, looks like they have never been cleaned. Could have choked a vacuum with all that dust, i'll tell you what. The AC was not cold and upstairs was always hot. When the air blew it felt like moist breath hitting you providing no relief and making you feel sticky. No Thanks. I had a spider crawl on my chest and ask me for my wallet and no one gets hurt. About lost my life that night. The view was nice and that was about it. Good location, but the experience and unit could have been better. It was storming the whole time, so no beach, which required me to spend most, if not all my time there..... Very disappointed.
